JHA Employment, Training Program Celebrates Brand-new Graduates
The Johnstown Housing Authority’s Employment and https://teachersconsultancy.com/employer/147813/spelljob Training Program commemorated 8 graduates of the program’s 2nd friend who entered a new stage of life Friday.
The ceremony at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in Richland Township marked a clean slate for [empty] the graduates, who are set to seek more education or employment in the Johnstown area, said JHA Executive Director Mike Alberts.
For the previous 4 months, those registered in the program completed courses provided by a collaboration among Penn Highlands, Johnstown Area Regional Industries and PA CareerLink.
The program consisted of courses supplied at Johnstown public real estate community rooms to remove participants’ transport barriers.
The curriculum included conflict management, job search and interview abilities, Microsoft Word and Excel, and life skills management, as well as school outing for a robotics bootcamp and tours of technology-based production business including Kitron and [empty] Compass Systems.
The ceremony Friday celebrated the eight graduates of the program while acknowledging dozens more who registered, but pulled out after discovering work or other further education chances along the way.
